Momentum Northwest: Seattle Junior Nordic Ski Club
Nestled at the foot of the Cascades, Seattle provides a year-round bounty for the Momentum Northwest ski team: epic training venues, consistent snowpack, and an active and supportive community. The Pacific Northwest has a proud history in cross-country skiing and is home to world-class athletes who have gone on to national and international success – both on and off the snow. At Momentum, these same opportunities are made available to aspiring athletes in our community.
Momentum offers programs for skiers, aged 6 to 18, at all levels of skill and experience. Many of our coaches are nationally certified and proven through competition and coaching. All coaches are trained to work with children and participate in clinics and continuing education in cross-country ski instruction.
Our participants come from throughout the greater Seattle area. We train up the i90 corridor between the city, Issaquah, Snoqualmie, North Bend, and Cabin Creek Sno Park. Momentum provides transportation, when possible, to the mountains and to many of our in-city workouts. For skiers who want to compete, the team travels to races in the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and other US locations.
